Job Purpose

The Quality Manager is the pivot in ensuring continuous improvement of our processes and recording these processes in the quality management system, creating awareness and enthusiasm among all co-workers in the field of quality.

External and internal relations:

  • Customers and suppliers

  • BU Quality Organization Amcor
  • All co-workers in the plant
  • Quality & Technical  teams

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing the Quality Service department (3,0 FTE).
  • Analyzing, reporting and coordinating external and internal complaints.
  • Focus on driving quality of customer and supplier claims to “Zero”.
  • Supporting the implementation (in terms of quality) of New Business Projects in different market segments. Besides petfood, this includes pharma and coffee (capsules).
  • Apply thoroughly problem-solving techniques (8D and DMAIC) to fast solve sustainability any quality issues.
  • Apply thoroughly the MOC change management to avoid quality issues in the future due to unstainable validation of any kind of product and process and equipment. Solving the risk at the source of the value stream.
  • Implements with BG projects to move from quality control towards process control.
  • Support customers on following up claims from the technical point of view (jointly calls with customers etc.).
  • Quality assurance responsibility.
  • Support BG and BU customer care programs for big and SMC customer base.
  • Support internal claim management mainly with Rorschach (biggest internal supplier) and in addition external suppliers for sustainable quality.
  • Monitor and implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS, BRC and other certifications.
  • Performing internal and external audits and ensuring proper reporting in the system.


Results Achievement

  • Ensure good (fast and accurate) answering to customers concerning Quality (e.g. complaints).
  • Ensure Customer satisfactions (aim for zero complaints).
  • Achieve Quality KPI’s (GQC, QIFR).
  • Achieve CRT’s and Quality Basics.
  • Ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS, BRC and other certifications.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Higher education in Engineering.
  • Experience (min. 3/5 years) in similar position, managing a quality department.
  • Financial and statistical knowledge.
  • Experience in support projects and change processes.
  • Experience Knowledge of and experience with CI improvement projects (e.g. Green Belt).
  • Knowledge and experience with Food Safety and pharma production.
  • Dutch and English spoken and written. German nice to have.
