About the role

The Regional HR Manager will provide HR support to the Global IT function across the Asia Pacific region, including China. The role will also serve as an extended HR partner to other Corporate functions within the region.

This position will support client teams across the full spectrum of HR activities, including the employee lifecycle, talent management, employee engagement, organizational review and development, leadership and employee development, employee communications, performance management, and change management. This role is limited to a 6 month contract.

Key Job Accountabilities

HR Operations & Business Partnership 

  • Effectively deliver day-to-day operational HR support.
  • Ensure local business partnership to the assigned stakeholders’ group,
  • Manage talent acquisition activities, partnering with local HR: from role definition to on-boarding 
  • Support the development and implementation of talent management activities such as Talent Councils, succession planning, learning & development and capability building activities.
  • Drive the performance management process; goal-setting, mid-year and year-end reviews.
  • Manage the salary review and incentive processes in line with defined organizational timelines 
  • Lead the discussions and programs around Engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring this process is properly conducted and related action plans are defined and implemented 
  • Design and implement learning initiatives, in alignment with the IT strategy and people development’s priorities. 
  • Identify training & development needs and present appropriate solutions 
  • Foster strong co-worker relations in collaboration with local HR 
  • Define and execute internal communication aligned to local setting.

 

  HR Transformation 

  • Work collaboratively with Corporate/Group HR on key initiatives in support of business strategies, including projects such as Global Engagement Surveys, Amcor Leadership Framework, HR systems implementation, etc. 
  • Champion and embed and organizational culture and values.
  • Manage high quality change management activities using robust planning and processes 
  • Develop and align HR policies / practices. 

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Psychology or related field 
  • HR certification desired 
  • Hands-on HR Generalist and HR practitioner experience required, minimum 7 years (international experience preferred) 
  • Experience developing and executing end-to-end HR processes 
  • Experience in co-worker relations; some union experience a plus 
  • Strong track record and demonstrated ability in managing region-wide projects and change initiative to achieve function / business outcomes
  • Ability to balance and manage competing priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work with local and international colleagues - remotely and sometimes outside of normal business hours 
  • Fluent English, and preferably Mandarin.   
  • Thorough understanding of effective HR tools and processes
