Role Purpose:
This role is accountable for leading the quality agenda for the AFT site, ensuring that all products, processes, and systems comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks. The position plays a key role in promoting a culture of quality, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring audit readiness at all times.
The Senior Manager will serve as the site’s Quality Representative, responsible for the overall Quality System (QS), including development, implementation, and compliance. This role interfaces directly with customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to uphold product integrity, manage risks, and support sustainable business growth. This role will also lead and manage a team of five quality professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the site’s Quality System (QS), ensuring alignment with corporate standards and external requirements. Lead continuous development, documentation control, training, and compliance monitoring.
- Act as the official Quality Representative of AFT, ensuring product and process compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead the development and deployment of quality systems, standards, and procedures across the site.
- Drive a culture of quality and right-first-time mindset through training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full audit readiness and timely resolution of non-conformances.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality incidents or customer complaints.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and commercial teams to integrate quality into day-to-day operations.
- Track and report key quality KPIs, analyze trends, and propose improvements.
- Manage the Quality team, including recruitment, development, and performance management of team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably in packaging, FMCG, or food-related industries.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001/14001, and other relevant quality systems.
- Proven experience in audit handling, CAPA, and quality system development.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
