Job Summary
The HRBP Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment between HR strategies and operational goals. This role focuses on workforce planning, labor relations, compliance with labor laws, employee engagement, and supporting production efficiency through effective people management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workforce Planning & Recruitment
- Plan manpower requirements in coordination with Production and Operations teams
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for both direct labor (operators, technicians) and indirect staff
- Develop strategies to reduce labor shortages and turnover
- Oversee onboarding and probation evaluation processes
2. Employee & Labor Relations
- Maintain positive labor relations and handle employee grievances
- Lead disciplinary processes in compliance with company policy and labor law
- Work closely with supervisors to resolve shop-floor issues
- Support union communication and negotiation (if applicable)
3. Compliance & Industrial Relations
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, occupational health & safety regulations, and factory standards
- Manage audits (ISO, SMETA, customer audits, etc.) related to HR and labor practices
- Oversee time attendance, overtime control, and shift scheduling compliance
- Handle work permits and documentation for foreign workers (if applicable)
4. Performance Management
- Implement KPIs aligned with production and plant objectives
- Support performance appraisal processes for both staff and shop-floor employees
- Manage corrective action and improvement plans
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee payroll coordination, ensuring accuracy of overtime and shift allowances
- Manage wage structure in line with minimum wage regulations and market benchmarks
- Monitor absenteeism, turnover rate, and labor cost analysis
6. Training & Development
- Identify technical and soft skill training needs for plant employees
- Coordinate safety training and mandatory compliance programs
- Develop succession planning for key operational roles
7. HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, manpower cost)
- Manage HR budget for the plant
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of labor law and industrial relations
- Experience handling large workforce (100+ employees preferred)
- Familiar with time attendance systems and payroll processes
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Good command of English (if required in international environment)
