Job Overview:

The Director Business Development Containers & Closures, LATAM will lead the growth of Amcor's rigid packaging, caps & closures, dispensing and dosing, and specialty packaging business across Latin America. This role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, and driving profitable growth, with a strong focus on the Personal Care segment and other key target markets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the LATAM growth strategy for Containers & Closures.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across strategic markets and customer segments.
  • Build executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Drive market expansion, customer acquisition, and portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Lead strategic commercial negotiations and business development projects.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Innovation, Product Management, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver growth.
  • Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Support commercialization of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial Leadership, or Strategic Growth within B2B manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record driving business growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
  • Experience in packaging, containers, closures, dispensing & dosing, or related industries.
  • Strong experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex negotiations.
  • Experience working across Latin America and within matrix organizations.

 

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, International Business, or related field.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Additional training in Strategic Selling, Business Development, Negotiation, or Commercial Management is a plus.
