JOB PURPOSE

Are you an HR leader who thrives on transformation, people growth, and impact? 
 
Amcor is looking for a dynamic and business-minded HR Manager to lead the people strategy at our Prostějov plant, a site entering an exciting phase of expansion and modernization. 
 

As a key member of the local senior management team, you’ll shape culture, enable change, and help build a strong, engaged workforce ready for the future. This role combines strategic partnership and hands-on leadership — perfect for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and collaboration. 
 

You’ll work closely with the Plant General Manager, leadership team, and HR colleagues across Europe, as well as external partners and advisors, ensuring that HR practices support business transformation and long-term success. 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Strategic HR & Organizational Development 

  • Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategy with business goals and guide key decisions. 

  • Champion a culture of agility, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across all levels. 

  • Lead organizational change and communication to support transformation and growth. 

  • Collaborate with site leaders to assess workforce needs and drive effective workforce planning. 
     

2. Talent Management & People Development 

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning in line with company standards. 

  • Define annual training priorities and development actions to build leadership and technical capabilities. 

  • Support performance management and career development initiatives to grow internal talent. 

  • Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and leadership effectiveness. 
     

3. HR Operations, Compensation & Compliance 

  • Manage all HR administration including contracts, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations. 

  • Ensure full compliance with Czech labor law and company policies, applying global HR standards locally. 

  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and incentive programs; prepare annual HR budgets with Finance and Plant Management. 

  • Coordinate international relocations, ensuring smooth onboarding and integration. 
     

4. People Management & Team Leadership 

  • Lead and coach a team of 4 HR professionals, providing guidance, development, and clear objectives. 

  • Encourage collaboration, accountability, and professional growth within the team. 

  • Promote an inclusive and high-performance culture. 

  • Represent HR as a trusted partner within the plant’s management team. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience 

  • University degree in HR, Business, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 5 years of HR management experience. 

  • Solid experience working in a production site/plant. 

  • Solid understanding of Czech labor law. 

  • Experience in managing teams 

  • Native/bilingual in Czech and professional in English (spoken and written).
