About the role

The Global Governance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of all Global Procurement Policies. The role works closely with the Audit and Compliance function and is responsible for delivering compliance checks globally across all BGs.

Key Job Accountabilities

Development, Updating and Implementing Global Procurement Policies

  • Update existing Global Procurement Policies to be relevant and in alignment with all regulatory requirements
  • Design and implement policy related processes and controls end to end
  • Develop new Global Procurement Policies as per the Excellence Strategy, Audit feedback and Procurement need
  • Implement new policies in the BGs, including training, Q&A sessions and guidance documents
  • Be the owner of the savings guidelines and the related processes like Monthly Management Reviews (MMRs)
  • Simplification & Development of templates for the category teams’ compliance with existing requirements

 

Compliance Checks

  • Perform compliance checks on all Controls Requirements in all Global Procurement Policies in all BGs
  • Report out on Finding and align on action plan to mitigate findings
  • Collect best practices across all BGs on ways of working around policy execution

 

X-Functional Routines

  • Work closely with Audit, Compliance and Lega to understand the requirements for Global Procurement
  • Align on routines and checks to ensure that Procurement is compliant with all regulatory requirements globally

 

Training

  • Deliver training on existing (if necessary) and new policies upon release and as annual refreshers
  • Work with training manager to keep training material updated, relevant and engaging (including translations)

 

Other

  • Support the Training and Capabilities team when needed with activities like reporting, delivering training, PMO work, Engagement activities or other.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • 7+ years of experience in similar field
  • CIPS or Prince certification is a plus
  • Background in Audit / Governance or in previous Governance Procurment Excellence roles is a plus
  • Knowledge of the end to end procurement process, governance and ways of working
  • Resilience, Agility, Attention to details and advanced stakeholder management skills are a must
  • Story telling, pitching and advanced communication skills (especially for training delivery)
  • Advanced English skills with other languages preferred (esp. Portuguese, French, Spanish, German or Mandarin)
  • Experience in audit or policy development is an advantage
