Job Purpose
To ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality logistics services at optimum cost by:
- Supporting implementation of the Logistics procurement strategy
- Leading and support tendering activities, primarily on road freight yet would be involved on other freight subcategory (ocean freight, warehousing, etc.)
- Supporting the supply chain and operations’ teams to drive continuous improvement on Logistics service, quality and cost structure.
- Leading and supporting implementation of 4PL (Fourth Party Logistics) solutions within designated areas
To contribute to the standardization and centralization of logistics management within the business groups and business units in scope (AFEMEA and ASC)
Principal Accountabilities
Strategy Deployment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies for the logistics category in order to ensure quality of services and significant cost reductions
Results Achievement
- Result orientation with the monitoring of sound KPIs: Lead implementation of 4PL solution for designated area in accordance with agreed roll-out schedule bringing savings and improving performance transparency and standardization of transportation management (quality, service, and costs)
- Lead or support Road Freight Manager and Logistics category in preparation and conducting tenders in a timely manner driving cost reductions and improvement of the quality of services to Amcor.
- Actively support continuous improvement of procurement process and relevant IT solutions
- Investigate and analyse the market, new equipment's, services and solutions available and seek new suppliers who may qualify to do business with Amcor
- Contribute towards Purchasing excellence and customer satisfaction
Negotiation and contract management
- Negotiate and select the best transport/logistics suppliers specifying quality, quantity and other requirements
- Apply Amcor Best Practices and Procurement Excellence process as well as using relevant IT platform
- Regularly review and monitor contract realisation, and delivery
- Identify and resolve issues or escalate issues, if required
- Ensure transparency in carrying out execution purchasing procedure
- Identify improvements to supplier contracts
Relationship Management
- Cooperates with other Amcor functions and 4PL partners to assist with project’s scheduling, contracting, executing and consults other Amcor departments in order to identify purchasing needs and requirements
- Define development strategies with identified external partners
- Solve any supply issues and communicate impact with relevant stakeholders
- Provide support in preparation of necessary forms, records, reports and other documents
- Develop and maintain close relationship with internal stakeholders and can be appointed as key primary contact to site/business unit on logistics procurement matters

Qualifications/Requirements
Professional Experience
-
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in Logistics Procurement preferably on regional level (e.g. European, Asia Pacific…)
- Alternatively 3+ years of working experience in Tender Management or Operations function with leading Transportation or 4PL Provider
- Experience of implementing 3PL and 4PL solutions is highly desirable
- Good understanding of logistics market development and deep knowledge of Road/Intermodal transportation (+ other mean of transport : preferred

- Excellent analytical skills, experience with e-sourcing solutions is a plus. Analytical skills need to be within high volumes of data (data mining/data crunching)
