Purpose

This is an opportunity to join the Financial Reporting team based out of the Paisley office on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will support the production of management accounts and other financial support to the site finance teams along with the submission of monthly results for group reporting. 

Responsibilities

  • Monthly management accounts: responsible for month end accounting including review of the ledger, preparing inventory reconciliations, calculating accruals, prepayments and adjustments to accurately reflect the business results in consultation with Head Office and Site Finance Teams
  • Group reporting: submission of monthly, half-year and year-end group reporting and disclosures using Cognos within tight deadlines (month end reporting Day 4) and tax packs on an annual basis
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations: preparation of reconciliations for approval, identification and resolution of issues, and ensuring compliance with group policy
  • Audit: provision of information to auditors for group accounts, statutory accounts, and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Mid-month: bank reconciliations, set-up of manual bank payments, VAT reconciliations, ONS Returns, intercompany reconciliations, currency maintenance, payroll journal postings and reconciliations, and other ad-hoc tasks
  • General ledger: month end close processes and reconciliations, account set up, mapping to group reporting system, maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers (US GAAP / IFRS) and Operating Leases Register, and other tasks as required

Skills and Experience

  • Part qualified CA/ACCA/ACMA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management accounts role
