This is an excellent opportunity to join our toolroom team in the newly created Tooling Technician role.  Reporting to the Team Leader on your shift and working alongside Fitter Machinists/Toolroom Engineers you will carryout maintenance, cleaning and servicing of Injection Moulds to ensure the tools are operating to maximum capacity with minimum disruption to production.

 

You will be responsible for

 

• Tooling maintenance and servicing
• Inspection and initial fault finding
• Component replacement and repair.
• Toolroom equipment upkeep
• Supporting Fitter Machinists/Toolroom Engineers
• Checking Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Cooling Systems

 

To be considered for the role you will also need to be able to demonstrate that you:

 

• Mechanical competency to repair and fit components
• Have the ability to read mechanical drawings
• Can carry out problem solving and fault finding
• Have a general understanding of machine operations and understand hydraulic principles
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to a safe working environment
• Are a Team Player
• Have a NVQ 2 Mechanical Engineering Qualification and have 2 years relevant working in an engineering or production environment. 

 

Working a 2 shift pattern 7:00 – 15:00 & 15:00 – 23:00 hours, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with the option to work Saturday mornings as contractual overtime.
