Job Overview

The Regional Product Manager (RPM) leads the product strategy and execution in their region. This includes planning, launching, and achieving sales and profit goals. The role involves developing product roadmaps, positioning, and managing product life cycles. RPM works closely with sales and marketing teams, supports customer engagement, and ensures alignment with business goals—both short- and long-term.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

Product Strategy

               •             
Contribute regional input to product plans, including market trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
               •              Identify and prioritize regional product opportunities and define long-term product roadmaps.
               •              Build strong product value propositions in collaboration with global teams.
               •              Develop business cases for investment and product development.
               •              Support and conduct market analysis to identify key opportunities for growth.

Sales and Profitability

               •             
Partner with Business Unit (BU) teams to set and achieve product sales, growth, and margin goals.
               •              Monitor product performance and profitability using dashboards and reports.
               •              Define pricing strategies based on customer value and market conditions.
               •              Oversee product P&L from introduction through to end of life.
               •              Keep teams updated on performance and profitability.

Commercial Leadership

               •             
Lead product planning, forecasting, and performance tracking. Lead marketing events and seminars by providing product insighte and delivering presentations or demos.
               •              Develop short- and mid-term tactical plans for regional sales and pricing strategies.
               •              Refine product value propositions based on market feedback.
               •              Train sales and marketing teams on product knowledge and sales strategy.
               •             
Organize and participate in customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
               •              Promote the product portfolio internally and externally.

Product Management

               •             
Manage product launches from planning to execution.
               •              Coordinate with supply chain for product availability and delivery.
               •              Track competitor activity and update teams accordingly.
               •              Align product development with customer feedback and changing market needs.
               •              Manage the product life cycle, including phase-outs and transitions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

               •             
Build strong working relationships across sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain, operations, and leadership teams.
               •              Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure successful product launches and growth.

 

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor degree, Marketing/Product management backgrodun or Degree in Materials/Chemicals is a plus

 

Experience & Skills:

  • 5–10 years in operations, marketing, engineering, or R&D.
  • MNC experience preferred, ideally in packaging or FMCG.
  • Strong track record in product management and delivering growth.
  • Skilled communicator with experience engaging senior audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and customer partnership skills.
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset.
  • Analytical, collaborative, and persuasive.
  • Strong marketing and product management expertise.
  • Able to translate strategy into clear actions.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement across functions.
  • Capable of understanding product, industry, and competitor.
