Position Overview:

Performs the administrative duties necessary for the timely and efficient shipping and receiving of packaged finished product, materials, and supplies. Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouseduties, including shipping and receiving, with a high degree of accuracy. This position requires daily interaction with shipping personnel, transportation carriers and internal operations. 

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Abides by all of Amcor’s Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Amcor’s Quality Policies and Procedures
  • Responsible for accurate completion and record keeping of all shipping documents.
  • Ensure customer and intra-company orders (Stock Transfer Orders) are shipped and received in a timely manner, with all required documentation (e.g. Customs Documentation)
  • Manage all incoming drivers by providing dock information and appropriate paperwork
  • Prepare and share daily shipping schedule with warehouse team
  • Communicate with all carriers and customers as required (e.g. delayed shipments, shipments not
  • picked up)
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of raw materials
  • Ship and receive couriered and small freight items as per procedure and notify appropriate personnel
  • of items received.
  • Provides support to shipping/receiving personnel in loading and unloading trucks
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy of finished goods
  • Enter and release preform and container orders for customers
  • Monitor and report on freight exceptions
  • Enter dunnage transactions into SAP
  • Coordinate mold and tool shipments
  • Communicate with team regarding any issues or potential impact to warehouse operations
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift Certification
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Able to use all Shipping/Receiving Software e.g. Transplace, OpenDock, FMS
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, SAP, and MII.
  • Ability to perform safely under pressure and excel at time management.
  • Excel at verbal/written communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility toward overtime.
  • Demonstrate leadership and high personal standards in relation to job performance.
  • Must possess and demonstrate all the necessary skills required for the position.

 

Work Environment: Plant Manufacturing Setting

Schedule: 12 hour shift. Overtime and on-calls may also be required.
