About The Role

 

The Financial Systems Specialist oversees Amcor's global financial consolidation application (Hyperion Financial Management – HFM), managing user support, troubleshooting, security, change management, data transformation, automation, servers, and ensuring adherence to SOX controls.

 

Joining a high-performing team with a strong track record for excellence, you will play a key role in a future strategic assignment to assess and select an HFM successor.

 

A programming qualification with an understanding of elementary accounting are prerequisites and previous exposure to HFM is Crucial. You enjoy and have the drive to learn, improve and find solutions. Having developed good practices for thoroughness is essential.

 

Key Job Accountabilities

 

  • Craft and refine code in Visual Basic, Jython, and Powershell to enhance system functionality
  • Collaborate in the development of HFM systems, translating business requirements into effective solutions
  • Take ownership of security protocols by implementing and managing user change requests
  • Provide dedicated support to HFM users, addressing and resolving issues across the system
  • Assist finance teams in critical tasks such as Month End, Year End, and Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to quarterly user reviews, ensuring system optimization and user satisfaction
  • Conduct internal system reviews with a focus on clear and concise analysis, providing actionable recommendations
  • Support the management of HFM IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations
  • Adhere to and uphold SOX Controls for comprehensive compliance

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in Computing and Finance
  • 5+ years’ work experience in systems / applications / programming
  • Comprehension of accounting and financial consolidation
  • Ideally prior experience with HFM and FDM as a user or administrator
