About the role

Define and execute the PCR Latam strategy for the region (9 countries) considering domestic and imported sources. Support the PET Regional Director with the Spot Desk strategy to ensure competitiveness and maximize Buy-Sell alignment. Suggest solutions for process improvements and drive process efficiency which have a direct impact on brother supply chain. Oversee end-to-end purchasing process and “liaison” cross-functional collaboration to positively influence delivery in full on spec.

Key Job Accountabilities

Purchasing Supply Plan & Management

  • Define and execute PET spot desk strategy for importing countries
  • Drive and oversee new “drop shipment” model
  • Define and execute PCR sourcing strategy definition and execution
  • PCR category contract negotiation
  • Operational/Supply risk assessment and mitigation planning
  • Oversee DIFOTIS for all imports
  • SRM and development of global suppliers for PCR
  • Supplier scorecard and KPI definition/development
  • Launch monthly RFQ / Spot desk for Import countries
  • Manage Spot desk baseline for YoY improvements
  • Vin resolution with closure/sustainable corrective action plan
  • Responsible for PCR P+ target

Support ARP Strategy

  • Manage new supplier qualifications for alternative materials driving business strategy
  • Responsible for buy side accounting, vendor payment terms, supplier financing administration
  • Liaison drives cross-functional collaboration throughout entire end-to-end supply chain
  • Identify synergies and cross-functional BG collaboration to influence PCR strategic growth
  • Support P+ initiatives to deliver target savings for PET and Logistic categories

Reporting

  • Manage MPV Accounting, Forecasting, and Reporting
  • Manage WC Forecasting and Reporting
  • Responsible for Monthly import records and market intelligence in Power BI
  • Reviews monthly LATAM brief
  • Manage import shipping schedules for SC visibility
  • Provide market intelligence and index reports to internal customers
  • Issuance GSTT- P+ projects

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead/support new projects driving process efficiencies
  • Purchasing process
  • Invoicing process
  • Packaging and safety guidelines
  • Database “Sharepoint”
  • Define/develop manuals of current process

Procurement Finance

  • Support Cash Flow Management “Defferals” as needed
  • Support Buy/Sell alignment business strategy
  • Manage supplier Citi financing onboarding

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education:            Bachelor's Degree    Finance, Business administration, Industrial engineer
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience within the resins industry and commodities purchasing. 
  • Proven experience working in Latin America, global providers
  • Green Belt Six Sigma certified desirable
  • Experience managing a spend budget of $ 50 million USD for direct materials.
  • Extensive experience in plastic resins (Rigids or Flexibles) and commodity providers
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate technical information and to complete project assignments.
  • Proven experience performing financial analysis and understanding complex reports
