Manage and direct all activities of the QA department to achieve all site quality needs in regard to internal quality and customer complaints
Ensure compliance to all key site bodies
Ensure that quality is promoted both internally and externally and that standards and processes are developed, improved, and maintained in the workplace.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage, direct and support QA team members
Manage the active portfolio of current customer quality issues and complaints
Lead Quality Review Meetings with key Customers as required
Overall accountability for containment and control of Non-Conforming Product, Rework and Scrapping Authorization
Support the Systems Manager by ensuring compliance to the QMS System, and AIB and BRC Standards.
Collaborate with Customer Services to facilitate the registering of Customer Incidents in SFDC/KMS and engaging Operations in conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions for external quality issues.
Manage Quality Credits
Participate in Internal Audits as per Internal Audit schedule.
Assist Customer Services with Quality & Technical related enquires / complaints
Support Operations in communication of Quality issues at internal meetings
Prepare Presentations for Customer Visits and Customer or Employee Workshops/Quality STOPS
Training and Development of Quality Team
Education, Qualifications & Experience
Manufacturing background, preferably in flexible packaging.
Min. 5 years’ experience managing and developing a team.
Good computer skills required.
Degree or Diploma in Quality Management, Chemistry or Packaging Technology
Core Competencies
Good planning, prioritizing and time management
Strong attention to detail with a pragmatic mindset
Team Player and ability to work well on their own within a high pressured environment
Ability to challenge operations in a constructive manner
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written in English language
Good knowledge of the Printing, Lamination and Slitting processes advantageous
Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring ability
