Development Centre Manager

Job Purpose:

 

  • Provide administrative support in the undertaking of technical business projects to help ensure on time, to specification delivery.
  • Provide administrative Support as required to the Development Centre Manager, design engineers and development engineers on new development and C.I projects

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop project plans, timelines and budgets
  • Ensure technical milestones, trials, and validations are delivered on schedule.
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the development cycle.
  • Help to provide information for costings and estimates for new business projects.
  • Assisting with sourcing and procuring ancillary tooling and machine components with internal and external suppliers.
  • Creation of new top-level part specifications in Navision business system.
  • Organising shipping and receiving of tooling and ancillary components and samples
  • Assisting with creation and updating project CPA’s
  • To assist with the maintenance of full and accurate technical drawings, product specifications and records

Technical Skills, Knowledge, Systems Knowledge (and associated skill level)

 

  • Mathematics GCSE or equivalent (Essential)
  • Competence with Microsoft Office suite including Share-point, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Essential)
  • Experience with MS Project (Desirable)
  • Basic understanding of Computer Aided Design and engineering (Desirable)

 

Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent qualifiers)

 

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in production or Engineering discipline (Desirable)
  • Project Management (Desirable)
  • CAD Awareness (Desirable)
