Process Engineer – AF Cumbria

A vacancy has arisen for a Process Engineer working within the Amcell and Extrusion business units. This will be a development role so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn different areas of the Technical function and broaden their knowledge base. 

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager the successful candidate will initially be involved in project work within operations and also support the wider Technical function to develop process and product improvements. Involvement in trials, both for product and equipment will also be included, as will working closely with supporting functions to deliver cost savings, quality improvements and the successful completion of defect eradication projects.  

The following attributes would be desirable in the successful candidate:

•    Previous experience within an Operational environment
•    The ability to think strategically
•    Strong problem solving skills
•    Knowledge of CI and  Lean principles
•    Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
•    The ability to motivate and engage. 
•    A desire to learn and develop their technical knowledge
