An opportunity has arisen at Amcor Flexibles Cumbria for a Day Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

The challenge:
You’ll be a vital member of the engineering team maintaining the site processing equipment effectively and efficiently. These are varied and interesting roles, working closely with Production teams to minimise downtime and maximise reliability so that the site can meet and beat production targets. 
Job Role:
The successful candidate will undertake day working on the Cumbria Packaging site; this will involve working within a team of co-workers focussing on both pro-active and reactive maintenance. We require a self-driven and motivated individual, working to highest standards of engineering, quality, safety and hygiene. Good teamwork and communication skills are essential to deliver the expected levels of service. 
Responsibilities will include:
•    Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery and developed factory infrastructure.
•    Attend equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs, knowing every minute counts.
•    Carry out refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections.
•    Prioritising personal workload in line with operational requirements.
•    Support for Engineering Project functions with the handover and commissioning of capital projects.
•    Complete daily timesheets and upkeep of records.

Skills Required:
•    Time-served with maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment, preferably possessing a HNC or equivalent.
•    Good understanding of Safe Working systems and policies (e.g. SWP & LOTO).
•    Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
•    Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in equipment maintenance.
•    Experience of working under ATEX and DSEAR regulations would be beneficial.
•    Experience of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous.
