1/ Position context:

Amcor Capsules (a Business Unit of the Amcor Group) is manufacturing closures for wines, spirits and sparkling wines in Europe, North and South America.

Amcor Capsules is looking for an internship or a work-study student to support the implementation of its Sustainability strategy.

This strategy is addressing the following key fields:

  • Aluminum consumption and recycling streams
  • Alternative Plastic resins to fossil sources
  • Energy optimization and alternative to fossil sources
  • Secondary packaging optimization
  • Supply chain optimization
  • Environmental credentials

2/ Your key missions:

  • Participate in the technology watch on the progress made in terms of plastic reuse for food contact materials excluding chemical recycling
  • Continue the work started on the different possibilities of replacing fossil-based plastics resins with bio-sourced, bio-degradable resins, containing PIR or PCR, etc …
  • Support the company in its ISCC+ certification process
  • Roll out the validation/laboratory approval protocols for the various solutions adopted
  • Participate in the implementation of aluminum PCR in our aluminum/plastic composite products in order to reduce the CO2 emissions of this type of product generated by aluminum
  • Participate in the achievement of the company’s objectives in terms of Sustainability through the PLEDGE 2025              

3/ Position offer:

This position is open for a 24 months internship or work-study student with the following key competencies:

  • Formal qualification & experiences
    • Engineer or Business school (Master Degree in preparation). A previous experience related to Sustainability and/or in the packaging industry are a plus
    • Plastics knowledges are welcome
    • Strong sensitivity to sustainable development

    • Very good Project management capabilities and reporting
    • Good interactions & presentation skills
    • Focus on results and meeting deadlines
    • Good level in English
