JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance
• Fully comply with and actively promote Amcor’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (OHSE) policies.
• Lead OHSE activities, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions within area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with emergency plans, proper use of PPE, workplace cleanliness, and waste segregation.
• Encourage safety awareness, reporting of near misses, and participation in improvement suggestions.
• Act as a role model for Amcor Values and ethical principles in all activities.
New Product Introduction
• Change management leader for production and participate in the new projects management as the focal point of production to collaborate with Product Development, Quality and Project Leads in the execution of NPIs/NPLs e.g. collaboration with Product Development (PD) through the project briefing including approval of new product launches and design changes.
• Lead in tooling development review and approval for NPL/NPI in coordination with PD, Production and other relevant functions and represent production team on any feasibility studies and evaluation for new products, new technology and capability
• Lead technology initiatives to support production performance on efficiencies, productivity and quality to drive continuous improvements
• Coordinate and monitor internally new product launches, raw material updates and changes, layouts, and transferred products from other manufacturing sites
• Support machine trial activities, internal approvals, color matching, and technical tests; prepare report results, define and monitor follow-up actions
• Prepare production guidelines and ensure stable performance of newly approved jobs during initial production runs (including film printing, HFS calculation, as applicable) and conduct period review/analysis to determine failure points and items for continuous improvements
• Determine production and machinery requirements for new materials and applications
• Update ink recipe based on actual consumption
• Together with PD and Quality, make decision on Go/No Go for production
Production & Process Performance
• Responsible for printing machine performance, including efficiency, waste, setup complexity, speed, and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement and optimization initiatives to achieve KPI targets and budget assumptions.
• Identify root causes of production and quality issues, define corrective actions, and ensure implementation.
• Support and contribute to production investment and improvement projects.
• Participate in the DDS meetings as support to operations
Quality, Complaints & Technical Support
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to analyze internal and external complaints and resolve non-conformities.
• Support complaints related to cylinders, tools, board/paper, foil, and ink with PD and Quality providing support and inputs in the resolution
• Participate in customer complaint meetings related to printing technologies and ensure closure of agreed actions.
• Communicate with material and technical suppliers when required.
• Color matching report preparation
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
• Act as the technical interface between PD, Production, Quality, Maintenance, PMR, Procurement, and Global Manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate communication between PD and Production, especially for new launches and technical changes.
• Exchange best practices, issues, and solutions with technical counterparts in other Amcor factories.
• Prepare and present reports related to product approvals, trials, and technical changes. If product is for the for the first time, the report will be done together with PD
Training & Capability Development
• Provide training to machine operators on new printing applications and technologies.
• Support onboarding and continuous development of Technologists and machine personnel.
• Ensure teams work efficiently, actively, and in line with best technical practices.

Education and Certifications
• Printing, polygraph or other relevant discipline degree

Color Matching & Print Quality (CM Ownership)
• Ink formulation logic (pigment strength, transparency)
• Color matching trial strategy
• Delta E interpretation & acceptance
• Trapping, overprint, layer logic
• Approval of internal CM & trials
• Handling customer color deviations
New Product Launch (NPL / NPI) & PD Interface
• Reading PD Brief , job Bag & drawings
• Translating design intent into press settings
• Trial planning (materials, cylinders, inks)
• Managing changes during launch
• Coordinating approvals with PD, QA, customer
• Production readiness confirmation
Quality, Complaints & RCA
• Defect classification (print vs material vs tooling)
• Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone)
• NCCS complaint handling (ink, paper, cylinders)
• Corrective & preventive action definition
• KPI linkage (FPQ, scrap, complaints)
