Job Overview

1. Maintaining a strong control environment ensuring that internal policies are adhered to, and that internal control assessments are done, and corrective actions are taken

2. Leading the timely preparation, analysis of cost and expenses reports. Assisting the FM and FC to monitor and control cost

3. Assist FC on generation of reports and analysis required to monitor performance (job profitability, actual vs budget performance, etc.). Such analysis to utilize with the aim of meeting and even exceeding the targets

4. Ensure that required reports (both local, Regional and Global) are prepared in a timely and accurate manner

5. Ensure compliance to Integrated Management System (IMS), Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), and other quality systems required by the company and the customer
 

Job Responsibilities

1.    Reviews Journal Vouchers (JV) and ensures correctness, timeliness, and compliance to company policies

2.    Preparation of detailed cost and expenses reports, per cost center, with comparison against budget last year

3.    Coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the activities related to the accurate and timely determination of product costs

4.    Providing management with accurate and timely analysis of inventory variances through periodic reports;

5.    Work with the Cost Accounting Supervisor to review and check the process of costing inventory and direct variable cost
        5.1.    Regular monitoring of various types of inventory and cost accounts
        5.2.    Supervises and coordinates conduct of monthly inventory and physical count
        5.3.    Profitability analysis per job
        5.4.    Supervises monthly reports on:

  • Cost of Finished Goods Inventory
  • Cost of Work in Process Inventory
  • Cost of Raw Materials Inventory
  • Added Value (AV) Analysis

Cost of other inventories i.e. general stores, spare parts, etc.

6.    Work with Finance, Production and Commercial team to determine and propose any action plans to improve job profitability.  Work with respective department to follow through all key plans to achieve desired results

7.    Assist the FM on budget preparation, CSA testing

8.    Provides assistance during conduct of annual and special external and internal audits

  • Answers all queries and presents required reports and schedules upon request.
  • Close coordination for early completion of auditing tasks

9.    Ensures section’s conformance to the procedure defined in the company’s quality system.

  • Checks filing and maintenance of all documents in accordance with quality procedures
  • Coordinates with the Quality Management Representative (QMR) on all matters related to quality system affecting the section

10.    Ensures company’s compliance with all national and local government taxation laws and regulations.

11.    Prepares other reports required by other government agencies.

12.    Initiates / Oversees implementation of programs / projects aimed in maximizing efficiency and productivity in his/her own area.

13.    Conformance and compliance to the roles and responsibilities outlined in the General Responsibilities and Authorities of Supervisors and Managers.

14.    Performs other related functions as may be assigned from time to time.

 

Job Requirements

Graduate of BS Accountancy or equivalent business course
Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Supervisory level handling GL, AP, Inventory and other facets of Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing industry
Supervisory and Problem-solving skills.
Preferably with trainings in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and trainings related to accounting job functions.
