JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
▪ Controls and monitors new product launches (NPL’s) or design changes
▪ Organises project Kick off meetings to ensure alignment with all plant department
▪ Documents and shares all internal NPLs meeting minutes.
▪ Directly communicates and manages with Customers and Suppliers on technical as well as Project Management relevant topics
▪ Ensures agreed timelines are met, and developments satisfy quality, timing and economical expectations
▪ Enters BoM data into the Enterprise Resource Planning Software, BaaN.
▪ Coordinates with Planning for machines and materials allocation
▪ Coordinates with Ink Section for ink type and formulation
▪ Secures confidentiality of the system
PRODUCTION
▪ Seeks to optimise production efficiency, guarantees first time right approach and helps improve in speed to market.
▪ Supports root-cause analysis for all issues related to NPLs
▪ Leads press approval colour matching with or w/o customer, to make sure external and internal standards and expectations are met.
▪ Ensures all production relevant documentation is available before print date, e.g. GTP, Colour Standards (barrel proofing standard if colour standard is not available), and Customer Samples etc.
TECHNICAL
▪ Ensures that the requirements in layout sheets are properly informed to prepress suppliers and accomplished during preparation for tools making
▪ Assigns cylinder size and the number of ups
▪ Determines optimal printing sequence
▪ Coordinates with global team for preparation of tool layouts and application of colour profiles when applicable
▪ Informs percent of ink lay down for product costing
▪ Coordinates with production and customer to get all required information for layout preparation
▪ Gathers approved GTP and layout sheet from customer and prepare information for suppliers and for internal use
▪ Issues layout to printing machines / set-up section and cancels old and obsolete layouts
▪ Coordinates with Pre-Press Subcontractor on data-proof, GTP, cylinder proof and cylinder preparation for new and/or modification jobs
▪ Monitors all colour proof limits submitted to and approved by customers
▪ Retrieves all technical information required from customer's systems (PLM. PAS Media, etc)
▪ Supports press approvals as required
▪ Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time by superior
