Job Purpose 

 

 

Amcor’s aspiration is to be renowned as the Flexibles industry leader in Operational Excellence.  The Operations Plus program will drive significant and sustainable competitive advantage across the value chain to generate top and bottom line growth.

In addition to delivering gold standard performance, demonstrated through standardising the way AFEMEA operates and having key performance indicators, the AFEMEA Operations Plus team together with the X-BG team will build and champion best-in-class operational capabilities.

This industry leading performance will be underpinned by implementing the O+ production system, systematic collaboration across the Operational Excellence network and a ‘’One Amcor’’ approach across the global Flexibles business and beyond.

 

The Operations Plus Transformation Analyst will play a critical role in the delivery of this step change in Operational Excellence within the manufacturing sites; he/she will challenge accepted thinking, create a culture and way of working focused on supporting the O+ team with analysis and tools to focus on the correct losses, supporting Initiatives, giving ad-hoc support to sites (if and where required) and move the needle fast throughout AFEMEA. He/She will be creating, driving and supporting the systems, standards and Blueprints required. 

He/she will be shaping the new online support tool as well as the structure of it, for making sure, that it is easy to work with and all information is accessible for the relevant stakeholders. 

Additionally he/she will have involvement in O+ implementations and learning the methods and tools in a fast and efficient manner.

He/She will be assessing (potentially testing and piloting) AI tools in conjunction with central IT, that will support the overall O+ analyse and assessment and/or for the execution and implementation of it.

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Support of the Operations Plus transformation efforts with the sites
  • Elevate the Standardisation Level across sites
  • Engage, in conjunction with the Performance Boost team, BU CI Leaders, Technical team and the site teams
  • Drive the creation of tools and platforms for the O+ team to make the analyse effective and efficient, reducing the amount of reporting and reports creation and simplifying as well the data gathering efforts
  • Will enable us and do benchmarks between sites, processes, machines,…on different criteria’s, to spot the great performers and the improvement areas / losses
  • Designing the new online Platform aligned with the new O+ ways of working in a way that it is easy to find content required, to update content and to provide the required access
  • Supports AFEMEA Initiatives that could be around Waste or Efficiency
  • Helps improve the Initiatives and the way we drive them in/with sites in conjunction with the O+ Transformation Lead
  • Supporting collection of Best Practice and adjusting (or newly creates) the Best Practice tool if and as required
  • Communicate progress and celebrate success
  • Mentor and support all co-workers in up-skilling
  • Adhoc Support on projects in line with the plan
  • Lives and demonstrates Servant leadership

  • Support a change agenda which is new, as part of a new team, the new ways of working, and which comes with high aspirations and expectations
  • Support moving the needle fast in an environment where ways of working are established and business performance is regarded as successful
  • Working aligned with the global Amcor team and apply ways of working and standards in AFEMEA
  • Reshape the current online tool without losing some of its important and well developed content and coming up with new tools to support the O+ journey
  • Ensure alignment with PB deployment, tools and communication, with a synergic and complementary approach to O+ and not a separate initiative

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

 

  1. Formal Qualifications and Experience
  • 1 + years of experience in Operations (and linked functions), Operations Excellence, Manufacturing systems (e.g. IWS or similar)
  • Great with IT Tools e.g. PowerBI, Sharepoint (PowerAutomate, PowerApps,…), …
  • Degree in a science, technology or engineering subject preferred; advanced degree advantageous.
