Role Overview
The Regional Commercial Director – Private Label is responsible for defining and executing the commercial growth strategy across Europe. This role sets the regional growth ambition, shapes Key Account strategic direction, and drives Top‑to‑Top engagement with major global retailers. The position ensures cross‑division alignment between Flexibles and Rigids, protects margin, and enables disciplined and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Define regional revenue targets and commercial growth ambition.
- Lead and execute the commercial strategy for the Private Label business across Europe.
- Develop and strengthen executive‑level relationships with global and regional retailers, driving long‑term partnerships.
- Oversee market activation, retail engagement programs, and value proposition development.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance direction to Regional Key Account Leaders to accelerate growth and market share.
- Ensure strong alignment across Flexibles and Rigids, minimizing channel conflict and maximizing customer impact.
- Drive cross‑divisional collaboration to leverage technical capabilities, scale, and shared assets.
- Influence R&D prioritization and ensure innovation pipelines support regional growth objectives.
Pricing, Margin & Financial Alignment
- Lead pricing strategy, ensuring margin protection while maintaining competitiveness.
- Partner with Portfolio and Finance teams to align growth ambition with financial targets and disciplined investment decisions.
- Drive working‑capital discipline and ensure alignment with global commercial objectives.
Commercial & Financial Accountability
- Accountability for margin protection at the segment level.
- Strategic oversight of working‑capital discipline and commercial forecast accuracy.
- Alignment of regional sales plans with global commercial strategies.
- Contribution to long‑term competitive positioning and Private Label market share expansion.
Leadership Scope
- Matrix leadership of Regional and Global Key Account Leaders.
- Leadership responsibility for Marketing within Private Label.
- Matrix influence across R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
- High-level engagement with executive stakeholders across regions and Business Groups.
Major Challenges & Complexity
- Ensuring cross‑division alignment between Flexibles and Rigids to prevent channel conflict.

What We Want From You
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA preferred.
Experience & Competencies
- 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in multinational B2B environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale revenue portfolios of $250M–$500M+ with sustained growth.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to drive profitable performance.
- Experience operating effectively across multiple regions, functions, and business units.
- Executive-level negotiation skills and advanced stakeholder management capability.
Relationships & Influence
The Regional Commercial Director serves as the commercial architect of the Private Label segment. The role integrates growth ambition, portfolio alignment, and financial discipline to ensure sustainable value creation.
