About The Role
The Application Specialist III is responsible for leading strategic business initiatives of Amcor through the execution of large projects and intricate support activities for one or more functional areas. This role possesses full technical knowledge of IBP systems analysis phases as well as considers the business implications of other applications by evaluating current & future business impacts. This position also acts as a strategic bridge between information technology and business stakeholders by understanding business problems, change needs, assessing the business impact of those problems/changes, capturing, analysing, and documenting requirements, configuring the application, partnering with developers, establishing test strategies, and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Lead and execute technical configuration of SAP IBP modules (DP, S&OP, Response & Supply, and Optimiser).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into effective IBP solutions- Strong stakeholder Management across organisational levels
- Design and implement core IBP functionality including Key Figures, Planning Areas, Planning Levels, Time Profiles, and Master Data Types.
- Configure and optimize Supply Planning heuristics, optimiser algorithms and demand forecasting functionalities
- Develop and maintain custom configurations and enhancements using IBP tools and best practices.
- Work closely with SAP CIDS and other middleware tools for data integration between SAP IBP and source systems (SAP ECC/S4, APO, BW, non-SAP).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, performance, and integration.
- Support IBP process design and enhancements for monthly planning cycles, consensus demand, inventory optimization, and scenario planning.
- Lead and support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for large scale transformation projects
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert in technical IBP capabilities, staying up to date with SAP's roadmap and innovations.
- Monitor CIF interfaces CIF and reconciliation runs
- Able to check master data in SAP ECC and SAP - APO
- Knowledge on how production planning board is working - APO
- Knowledge of how heuristics are run and how-to check the result - APO
- Know how to update calendars and timestreams APO
- Support users when issues occur managing forecast via planning books + release to PPDS - APO
- Able to create and activate CIF integration models- APO
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, management information systems, business or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP IBP & APO in a technical configuration & customising role
- Familiarity with SAP IBP Optimiser is advantageous
- Expertise in data structures and relationships
- Knowledge of end-to-end architecture standards involving areas of expertise
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Fluent English. Other languages are advantageous
