Overview of Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager – Protein, and focused within the Australian Protein, Dairy and Produce sector, the Key Account Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the achievement of revenue and margin goals by managing existing key accounts and identifying and driving new business opportunities via the development of commercially sound business relationships with customers. Developing and building outstanding business relationships with key decision makers, you will be part of a team who are driven to win. The position will develop and grow a portfolio of customers and implement a business growth strategy including sales activity for a given product segment.
The Primary Areas of Responsibility will span across:
- strong sales and project planning skills,
- effectively demonstrate, prepare and present a value proposition,
- understand the importance of account commercials
- prepare and execute a negotiation strategy,
- understand the importance of supply chain protocols and contract management
- effective oral and written communication skills,
- a thorough approach to administrative functions
- development and implementation of share of wallet and new business opportunities
Qualifications/Experience:
- With clear and successful experience in a Key Account Management role, preferably within a Protein, Dairy, Produce or FMCG environment.
- With sense of urgency is required as is the ability to prioritise.
- The ability to form and foster outstanding business relationships with the key decision-makers internally and externally is critical.
- Ability to operate in a solid team environment striving for the success and achievements of the team goals is important.
- You must be savvy, high performing and resilient, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You will have an ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining a calm demeanour during all communications and be able to prioritise based on managing our customers' demands.
This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Southbank VIC with flexibility to work up to two days per week remotely as per Amcor's guidelines.
