Assistant Production Controller - EBM

Main Purpose of Role:

  • To produce production and utilization figures and ensure production quality is to customer requirements.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

All aspects of production control incorporating production posting and Blowmould utilization summary.

  • To carryout quality training for production staff & monitor performance for further training needs.
  • To carry out initial production operatives and production support operatives training and any other departmental training requested by the manager.
  • Manage sorting operations including data collection for NPR investigations.
  • Raise all concession forms at daily production meeting.
  • All aspects of quality control incorporating daily visuals raising NPR’s and AQL’s.
  • Co-ordinate the EBM QC team in handling cross shift quality actions and issues.
  • Updating the quality notice boards with KPIs and current issues and rejections.
  • Compiling data for the Manager in preparation for quality meetings.
  • Notifying Blowmould Manager when any production problems arise.
  • Controlling and filing of approved colour standards.
  • Controlling colour and bottle samples.
  • Assist the manager with the review and updating of quality documents and procedures.
  • Organising production overtime for day and shift staff including holidays when required.
  • Process weekly payroll for all staff.
  • Organising packers as and when required.
  • Any other reasonable ad hoc task requested by management

  • The ability to work on one’s own initiative to achieve objectives and taking accountability for work/actions undertaken
  • The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company and with customers
  • Confident in making constructive suggestions, challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work
  • Is able to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives

  • Takes decisive action to address and react to opportunities and problems in day to day work
  • Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities, and has a professional approach to work
  • Good computer literary skills, including working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Be able to work under pressure, remaining, calm and in control with the ability to make clear decisions
  • Ability to undertake duties in every respect as laid out in the job description (further to training if required)
