Job Purpose

 

Responsible for strategic sales direction, decisions and the coordination and management for all sales functions. 

 

Job Dimensions & Scope

 

  • Be the champion and primary sponsor of Amcor Sales Force Effectiveness tools and methods (V+, SFDC, ANP, KAM).
  • The incumbent will lead a team of Key Account, Business Development and Sales Managers.

 

Technical Specialties Market Segment

 

The Technical Specialties segment is a diverse and innovation-led market that capitalizes on Amor’s advanced materials science capabilities and scalable manufacturing infrastructure. This segment supplies high-performance input materials to downstream converters across a wide range of specialized applications, including:

 

  • Peel-off ends – engineered materials for easy-open packaging solutions.
  • Capacitors – dielectric and conductive foil for electronic components.
  • Insulation – thermal and acoustic insulation materials for industrial and commercial use.
  • Solar panels – specialty films and substrates enhancing photovoltaic performance and durability.
  • Specialty barrier films – multilayer films offering superior protection, shelf-life extension, and functional performance.
  • Wine capsule laminates – premium laminated foils designed for aesthetic appeal, tamper evidence, and brand differentiation in wine packaging.

 

This segment is defined by technical complexity, customisation, and high value-add, serving industries that demand precision, reliability, and compliance with rigorous performance standards. It plays a strategic role in enabling downstream innovation and supporting sustainable, high-quality product development.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

Overall Sales Strategy:

    • Leads development of the sales strategy for a BU including:
      - Value proposition
      - Market segmentation- Competitor position, strategy and differentiation
      - Market insight and industry trends
      - White space opportunities
    • Support, review and approve the sales strategies for each Business/Key Account

 

Sales Leadership:

    • Facilitate integrated/cross business decisions on sales
    • Develop and lead the execution of Sales strategy, pricing strategy and contract management
    • Lead Sales central projects or initiatives
    • Articulate Sales policy, procedures and guidelines to support strategy implementation and meet regulatory requirements

 

Key Account Management:

      • Identify based on economic and market reasons cross business KA
      • Understand and develop relationships with key decision makers
      • Strong, proactive relationships with key account customers that result in win/win situations
      • Lead the development account plans and coordinate actions within business for KA
      • Coordinate and plan contract renewal/new business opportunities for KA

 

Achievement of Sales & Budget Targets:

          • Agree appropriate targets for each account that achieves overall business targets
          • Establish, in conjunction with key stakeholders, new business opportunities and targets
          • Monitor business performance against target - both volume and margin
          • Coordinate corrective actions to sales programs, if necessary, to achieve target commitments

Capability Development:

    • Develop and maintain organizational sales capability including
      - Participation in the sales talent management & review process
      - Provide coaching and guidance to sales professionals
    • Provide feedback to business managers on performance and current development needs for sales professionals

Qualifications/Requirements

Formal Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s qualification in Business/Commercial/Finance Management
  • Minimum 10 years overall Sales experience in FMCG environment, preferably with multinational businesses
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Senior level commercial role leading successful teams
  • Demonstrate excellent project / process and people management skills
