Job Purpose

The Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and managing pricing strategies for the Agriculture, Construction & Industrial (AC&I) Business Unit. This position ensures pricing policies are aligned across the BU, provides specialist expertise on raw material (RM) pricing, and establishes strong communication channels to support consistent and transparent pricing practices.

Working closely with Sales, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and other internal stakeholders, the Pricing Manager drives pricing excellence to enhance value, support commercial decision-making, and contribute to the overall EMEA strategy.

 

Job Dimensions & Scope:

This role requires close collaboration with:

  • All Business Unit Commercial teams and AC&I production sites

  • The BU Sales force

  • The Business Group Sales & Commercial team

You will be a key partner across functions, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day pricing operations.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Market & Segment Expertise: Become the subject-matter expert on pricing, market structures, and competitive dynamics through close cooperation with Sales and Commercial teams.

  • Pricing Management: Process pricing requests—including costing preparation—and ensure alignment with the line manager.

  • Tender Leadership: Manage and coordinate the tender process for your assigned segment.

  • Commercial Support: Assist the Sales team with value propositions, business case development, and customer discussions.

  • Project Involvement: Participate in projects requiring price, cost, or margin inputs (e.g., business scenarios, spec changes, design-to-value).

  • Strategy Development: Gather and consolidate feedback from the Sales team to help refine pricing strategy.

  • Cost Recovery: Ensure pricing processes are consistent and support full recovery of RM increases and other input costs (energy, transport, indirect costs).

  • Data Quality Assurance: Support efforts to maintain accuracy, transparency, and consistency of cost data from sites and supporting functions.

  • Pricing Tools & Models: Help build pricing models and maintain price lists for allocated markets, customers, and products.

  • RM & Price Updates: Execute RM tracker updates, price adjustments, and product pricing revisions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Formal Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales, Commercial, Controlling, or related functions

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and spoken English skills
