About The Role
The Director, Total Rewards – RPSI, supports the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs for the Rigid Packaging Solutions International (RPSI) business group in EMEA (~15,000 employees across multiple countries).
The role provides expert advice and executional leadership in the application of global and regional Total Rewards frameworks within RPSI. Working closely with HR and business leaders, this position ensures programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards while supporting local needs.
Key Job Accountabilities
Compensation:
- Manage annual compensation processes (merit, bonus, sales incentives, long-term incentives) for RPSI.
 - Provide market analysis and internal equity reviews, preparing recommendations for HR and business leaders.
 - Support design and calibration of pay structures by providing data, insights, and practical implementation input.
 - Ensure compensation programs are implemented consistently across countries and compliant with legal requirements.
 
Benefits:
- Coordinate and support benefits programs across RPSI, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
 - Manage vendor relationships and support harmonization projects, escalating strategic recommendations to regional leadership.
 - Support post-merger harmonization and integration of benefit programs within RPSI
 
Advisory & Business Partnership:
- Act as the primary point of contact for RPSI HR and business partners on Total Rewards matters.
 - Advise and educate managers/HR on application of policies and practices.
 - Escalate complex or exceptional cases to Sr. Director Total Rewards EMEA
 - Provide guidance on complex individual cases (executive compensation, retention, mobility, organization design).
 
Projects and Governance
- Contribute to global and regional Total Rewards initiatives (e.g., job architecture, incentive plan changes, benefits harmonization) representing the RPSI perspective.
 - Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, audit requirements, and local statutory regulations.
 - Drive process improvements and use data/analytics to improve decision making and efficiency.
 
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree in Business, HR, Finance, or related discipline; advanced qualification or professional certification (e.g., CCP, GRP, Mercer/KF Hay) preferred.
 - Typically 10–12 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards/Compensation & Benefits within multinational environments.
 - Proven track record managing compensation and benefits across multiple EMEA countries, with large employee populations (>10,000 FTE).
 - Experience working in complex matrix structures and influencing senior stakeholders
 - Expertise in job evaluation methodologies (preferably Hay) and market benchmarking.
 - Strong financial and analytical skills; advanced Excel and HRIS/Comp systems knowledge (Workday preferred).
 - Knowledge of EMEA legal, tax, and compliance frameworks for compensation and benefits.
 - Effective vendor and project management skills.
