JOB PURPOSE

Are you a commercially driven professional with early experience in B2B sales and a strong appetite for building new business? 

As Junior Business Development Manager at Amcor, you will take ownership of developing new business opportunities in Italy, with progressive exposure to selected Southern European markets such as Croatia, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, and neighboring countries. 

This is a role with real responsibility from day one. You will independently build and manage your pipeline, drive prospecting activities, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships. As part of a team of Business Development Managers covering distinct regions, you will be accountable for growing your territory and contributing directly to regional performance within a market-leading international organization. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Drive New Business Development in Italy 

  • Identify, research, and proactively target high-potential prospects across your territory. 

  • Generate your own leads through outbound prospecting and structured market analysis. 

  • Present Amcor’s value proposition and convert opportunities into sustainable partnerships. 

  • Take full ownership of new business results within your assigned market. 

Build and Manage a Robust Sales Pipeline 

  • Develop and maintain a structured pipeline from first contact through onboarding. 

  • Ensure consistent follow-up, opportunity qualification, and commercial momentum. 

  • Use CRM tools effectively to manage activities and forecast opportunities. 

Develop Strategic Customer Relationships 

  • Engage directly with decision-makers to understand their business challenges and objectives. 

  • Build credibility through a value-based commercial approach. 

  • Position Amcor as a strategic partner in innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. 

Contribute to Regional Growth 

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Customer Service, and other key stakeholders to execute commercial initiatives. 

  • Provide structured market feedback and competitive insights to strengthen regional strategy. 

  • Actively contribute to the performance and ambition of the Southern Europe business. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Commercial, or a related field. 

  • 1–5 years of experience in B2B sales in business development / inside sales.

  • Strong hunter mentality — comfortable initiating contact, handling rejection, and pursuing new business. 

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation. 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset combined with discipline and resilience. 

  • Fluent Italian and professional English are mandatory.
