Job Purpose

  • Develop effective forecast models in SAP IBP based on industry trends and demand patterns, with analysis techniques and effective leadership
  • Closely collaborate with sales to support, drive and challenge the new sales forecast submission
  • Identify Risks and Opportunities associated to latest Demand Plan
  • Flag critical cases to be addressed during the demand review meeting
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand planning processes and KPIs
  • Provide rational behind demand evolutions compared to previous month
  • Successfully communicate the consensus demand plan after the sales director / VP sign-off
  • Own forecast dashboards and follow-up action plans to be actively presented during monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Responsible for the S&OP supply planning activities for Capsules
  • In collaboration with sites, prepares the BU unconstrained supply plan, reviews supply constraints, evaluates risks and opportunities, prepare scenarios and recommend resolution plan
  • Evaluate financial impact for each scenario identified and presented
  • Reviews KPIs and metrics which allow to define supply plan performance
  • Prepares and facilitates the Supply Review with the aim to ensure a BU operations stakeholder’s alignment on the proposed scenario to effectively balance demand and supply and achieve a cost-optimal plan for production, distribution, and procurement
  • Provides inputs for Supply to the BU S&OP meeting, ensuring that issues, risks and opportunities for each required decision are addressed and explained properly

Principal Accountabilities

 

 

  • Act as a key business partner to the sales team, collecting and processing market intelligence to support effective sales forecast process
  • Drive demand reviews together with VP Sales and Sales Directors
  • Improve standard demand planning processes (KPI analysis, dashboard review), in order to reduce order book volatility and help to drive downstream production, material, delivery and inventory strategies,
  • Drive alignment with the various sites and business units within the BG on market and operational needs
  • Engage with Customers, in partnership with Sales Teams, as appropriate; look for ways to integrate planning processes with customers.
  • Create, in partnership with Sales Teams and HR, training and development plans for Customer Service and Planning teams
  • Ensure rigorous and regular Product Structure and FG Portfolio analysis and simplification across the BG; develop processes to sustain simplification efforts
  • Improve communication links and workflows with R&D and Commercial organizations both centrally and within the BU’s
  • Promote the use of common tools (system and process) across the BG; link with IT to ensure available tools align with process strategy.
  • Rigorous use of CI methodology in all activities; ensure engagement with appropriate CI resources
  • Strongly contribute to IBP implementation

 

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  1. Formal Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar education required
  • 3-5+ years minimum in supply chain management experience preferably in an international B2B or alternatively fast-moving consumer goods matrix environment (FMCG)
  • Previous experience in forecasting and S&OP, levering on analytics, marketing and sales data

  • Strong ability in analysing data with critical thinking
  • Adaptable, dynamic, intuitive and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership and presentation skills
  • Sense of urgency to address and resolve issues
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and good experience in statistical forecasting
  • Knowledge of SAP IBP or similar Supply Chain Planning tools preferred
  • Fluent English and ideally one additional European language (e.g. French, German, Spanish)
