Job Purpose

 

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes comply with Amcor’s quality standards and applicable industry regulations. Through rigorous testing, inspections, audits, and process control, the role ensures customer satisfaction, supports supplier quality, and drives continuous improvement.

 

Job Dimensions & Scope

 

  • Site AF Alzira: 300 FTEs, revenue € 130 M
  • Part of a 19-person local HR team. 

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Investigate internal and external complaints, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate timely corrective actions.
  • Contact with customer for Quality reasons looking for better resolution and customer satisfaction (Claims and improvements)
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss customer/production quality performance, address concerns, and align on expectations.
  • Process Audits : Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Amcor standards and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze process data to detect trends, prevent deviations, and ensure data-driven decision-making. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  1. Formal Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Food Safety and Quality, or related technical fields.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a similar quality role in the process, packaging, or food industry will be valuable
  • Advanced English (B2 level) – written and spoken.

 

  1.  Specific Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of Quality Systems & Standards.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel (intermediate/advanced).
  • Experience with or knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze quality data and apply statistical tools .
  • Skilled in preparing technical reports and quality documentation.

 

Other important information

 

  • It is necessary to have your own vehicle, as AF Alzira is not served by public transport.
  • This is a temporary vacancy, initially for approximately 6-7 months.
