Role Overview
The Private Label Regional Portfolio Director is responsible for defining and shaping the strategic product architecture across Europe. Reporting directly to the VP Private Label, this role ensures the portfolio is optimized for profitable growth, platform leverage, sustainability transition, and long-term competitive advantage.
This position integrates market intelligence, innovation roadmaps, and manufacturing capabilities to drive a coherent, cross-regional portfolio strategy that aligns customer needs with Amcor’s asset base and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Architecture
- Define and evolve the strategic portfolio roadmap for the Private Label business across Europe.
- Identify retail trends, white‑space opportunities, and emerging format and material shifts to shape future platform priorities.
- Develop value propositions that reflect evolving retailer expectations and competitive dynamics.
- Drive cross‑regional platform standardization and specification rationalization to reduce complexity and improve scalability.
- Champion sustainability-driven product transitions, including recyclability, PCR integration, and lightweighting initiatives.
- Lead complexity reduction efforts that improve margin performance and operational efficiency.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence
- Partner with Commercial, Finance, R&D, Sustainability, and Manufacturing to ensure unified portfolio alignment and execution discipline.
- Influence capital allocation decisions related to product platforms and asset utilization.
- Collaborate with R&D to shape innovation pipelines and investment focus.
- Develop and execute “seed‑the‑market” strategies and localization plans to accelerate new platform adoption.
Strategic Impact
- Shapes multi‑billion‑dollar product families across regions.
- Influences long‑term growth trajectory for the Private Label segment.
- Enables cross‑regional leverage of assets, materials, and capabilities.
- Enhances capital discipline through structured portfolio prioritization.

Leadership Scope
- No direct reports; operates through influence in a highly matrixed environment.
- Direct engagement with VP Private Label, Commercial teams, Manufacturing leadership, R&D, and Finance Directors.
- Influences innovation prioritization, capital planning, and cross‑regional standardization efforts.
- Drives alignment across both Flexibles and Rigids divisions.

- Balancing global platform standardization with the need for regional customer customization.
- Influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Aligning sustainability goals with operational feasibility and cost constraints.
- Managing diverse regulatory requirements across European markets.

What We Want From You
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA preferred.
Experience & Skills
- 12–15+ years of progressive leadership in Product Management, Commercial, Operations, or R&D.
- Experience in multinational packaging or adjacent manufacturing sectors.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including financial modelling and business case development.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive executive alignment.
- Experience working across multiple regions; EMEA and North America experience preferred.
