JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the France Finance Manager, the Payroll Shared Services Manager leads and coordinates a team responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services for the Group’s French entities.
You will oversee the Payroll Shared Services Centre, which manages payroll, social security declarations, and payroll-related reporting for around 10 companies across France. Working in a complex environment with multiple collective agreements and a strong SOX control framework, you will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in all payroll processes.
As a trusted business partner, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure smooth payroll operations and to support strategic initiatives that enhance our employee experience and operational efficiency.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Payroll Operations & Compliance

Supervise monthly payroll processing and social declarations for all French entities.

Ensure accuracy and compliance with SOX and internal control frameworks.

Validate payroll provisions, special cases (expatriates, graduates, etc.), and cross-functional requests (IDR, Participation, CIR, NAO, severance simulations).
Legal & Regulatory Monitoring

Anticipate and apply changes in social and employment legislation.

Validate updates to payroll regulations and collective agreements.

Maintain clear, up-to-date payroll documentation and procedures.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate statutory and HR reporting (BDESE, social reports, equality indicators).

Monitor KPIs and prepare monthly activity reports.

Identify improvement opportunities and drive related action plans with HR and Finance.
Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, develop, and engage the Payroll Shared Services team.

Foster strong collaboration with HR, Finance, and external partners.

Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement projects.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
What you will bring - Mandatory
-
Master Degree in Payroll, HR, or Finance.
- 7–10 years’ experience managing teams within payroll or shared services.

Proven expertise in French payroll legislation, social contributions, and tax regulations.

Experience working with multiple collective agreements in a complex environment.

Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP-GSI an advantage) and Microsoft Excel.

Professional proficiency in both French and English.
