Procurement ESG Consultant

About the role
As a Procurement ESG Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include implementing and monitoring relevant targets, KPIs, and reporting capabilities to track and measure the performance of our programs. You will manage supplier risk assessment and other relevant platforms to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Additionally, you will ensure proper communication and training for both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of sustainability and transparency.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Roll-out the responsible sourcing policy and code of conduct to suppliers. Implement the supplier due diligence, supplier segmentation and risk management process to identify, address and resolve potential supply chain risks with Amcor’s suppliers globally
- Coordinate and engage with suppliers for the due diligence program actions, including the launch and follow up of self-assessment questionnaires and mitigations plan for the identified risks
- Integration of responsible sourcing within procurement activities
- Work with suppliers to collect detailed greenhouse gas emissions data coefficients by material type supplied to Amcor
- Follow-up and analyze supplier decarbonization roadmaps, how it reflects to Amcor’s scope 3 and how to improve emissions to achieve Amcor’s decarbonization commitments
- Structure and lead data analysis do develop compelling and actionable insights related to scope 3 for the category teams
- Engage with and coach suppliers in developing absolute emissions reductions strategies
- Implement and monitor relevant targets
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree in engineering, /supply chain management /sustainability/ CSR or a business degree/ Master’s strongly preferred.
- Passion to drive ESG topics in the supply chain
- 5+ years of experience in ESG programs within procurement and supplier engagement
- Minimum technical knowledge: Carbon Disclosure Project, Science based targets, Life cycle assessment, GHG protocol, etc.
- Experience in Packaging or FMCG industry is a plus
- Proven working experience with EcoVadis, Integrity Next, other industry initiatives
- Excellent written and oral skills in English. Nice to have: French, German and/or Mandarin
- Exposure to sustainability/CSR topics such as human rights, labor standards, environment, etc.
